If you’re buying or selling a home, it’s a good idea to make sure that all the plumbing features are in working order. Sometimes, we get phone calls from people that want to sell their home, but there’s a “buyer objection sheet” where a buyer wants to put in an offer to buy a home but lists several specific items they want the seller to address before they make an offer.
A lot of times, one or more of those items the buyers object to are issues with plumbing. Sometimes it’s issues with a water heater, or an old garbage disposal, or the buyer may be afraid that the sewer line could be cracked or damaged. When that’s the case, the seller will call a professional plumber who is an “uninterested third party” that has no financial interest in the sale of the home, and ask for an objective opinion about the state of the house’s plumbing.
Alphalete Plumbing is happy to provide these types of real estate plumbing inspections. We can inspect all the plumbing fixtures in your home, and give you a list of anything that’s wrong, and an estimate for what it would cost to repair it. We can then provide that list to the seller’s agent, and the seller can decide whether to have the items fixed or not as part of their negotiation with the buyer.
