On February 25th, our company founder and leader, Diego Lujan, recently spoke at February’s Black and Hispanic Chamber Business Luncheon held at the Warehouse Restaurant in Downtown Colorado Springs.
This was a joint event hosted by two important community building groups: the Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Diego shared some history from his own life, including the hardships of growing up in poverty in the San Luis Valley, beginning with a mindset of nothing but “survival.”
Today, Diego is proud and grateful to be able to run a successful plumbing company in Colorado Springs, which employs several people full-time, and is able to give back to the community he calls home. He credits his ability to be a contributing member of the Colorado Springs community despite coming from a challenging background to his attitude of “extreme ownership.”
To hear his remarks, you can watch the video below. Diego will be sharing more about his story in an upcoming motivational event at Library 21c on March 13, and you’ll be able to hear him at other events throughout the rest of the year.
(Please pardon the low-resolution video: we’ll try to take a better quality version next time!)
